Established in 2004 we believe and so do our 100's of customers that we are the best caucasian dreadlock service in the UK.

When company owner and credited hairdressing lecturer Alex Goodacre first got dreads he was shocked by the lack of salons and information there was on the creation and maintenance of dreadlocks in non-afro hair, hence Altered States was born.

Dreadlock extensions on a lovely lady. 2 day apointment, immediate lovely long permanent locks.

Through literally hundreds and hundreds of man hours spent dreading and maintaining caucasian dreadlocks we are confident that we can dread ANYONES hair perfectly.

Plus no dread are beyond REPAIR. Through the years we have seen some interesting things. Candle wax, bees wax even window sealent in dreads but nothing that can not be fixed.

 

A large part of our repair work also involves tidying up the mess that afro carribean hairdressers make!

Afro hair and caucasian hair is DIFERENT and needs to be treated as such.

 

 

Dreadlock Services:-

 

Dreadlocks from Scratch = £150 takes the majority of the day depending on hair length. You can't hurry love! INFO

 

 

Dreadlock Maintenence = Typically takes 5  hours and cost £90 for full tidy INFO

 

 

Dreadlock extensions = Hand made permanent dreadlock extensions using real human hair . You don't have to wait years to have long dreads. INFO

Synthetic dreadlock application = Application of synthetic dread falls that the customer buys from elsewere (ebay is a good source). £90 minimum cost. INFO

 

Dreadlock removal = It is a myth that you need to shave your head! Using the excellent Dreadhead Dread zasta removal cream we can restore your hair to all its glory. This does take all day and is £175  INFO
